ScouterSynth — Privacy Policy

ScouterSynth collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no way to reach a server. Everything you make stays on your device.

What the app stores

Your songs, the samples you import or record, your exported audio, and your settings — the theme, the text size, the controller mapping, and the MIDI switches. All of it is written inside the app's own folder on your device. If you have turned on iCloud backup for your device, your files are included in that backup the same way any other app's files are; that copy is between you and Apple, and the app is not involved.

The microphone

The app asks for the microphone only when you record a sample into a slot, and only records while you are holding the button that records. The audio is written into your project on the device. It is never uploaded, analysed, or shared.

Files you choose

When you import a sound, the app copies the file you picked into your project so a saved song carries its audio with it. It reads only the file you chose, at the moment you choose it.

What the app does not do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no email address.
• No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
• No network requests. The app has no networking code in it at all.
• Nothing is sold or shared with anyone, because nothing is collected in the first place.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If a future version ever collects anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
